Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, will hold a Hawaiian-themed event from July 1 to August 31.
At Café & Dining Chef’s Palette, the hotel will offer a total of 16 items: five set menus combining hamburgers or pancakes with drinks, five à la carte dishes including lomi-lomi salmon and garlic shrimp, and six drink options. Guests who order a set menu will receive a clear file featuring an original illustration by creator and author Hidehiko Kado, themed on a Hawaiian proverb meaning “Happiness comes after overcoming difficulties.” Service hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Prices start from 2,000 yen for set menus, 1,400 yen for à la carte dishes, and 1,100 yen for drinks.
At Restaurant Bayern, more than 30 dishes such as kalua pork tacos, grilled pork spareribs on a hot plate, chilled dan dan noodles with coconut milk, and poke bowls will be available in buffet style. Five types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks inspired by Hawaii are also offered for an additional charge. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Prices start from 4,800 yen.
Inside the hotel, the atmosphere will be enhanced with Hawaii-inspired decorations and background music, as well as staff dressed in aloha shirts. All prices include tax and are subject to a separate service charge.
