Livemax opened “Livemax Resort Hakodate Shikabe Onsen” on May 29.
The property is a rebranded version of the former Royal Hotel Minami Hokkaido Shikabe. Guest rooms come in three types: Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and Japanese-Western combination rooms. Inside the hotel, there is a large public bath with natural hot springs and a sauna, as well as an open-air rock bath designed like a garden with rocks and plantings, allowing guests to bathe while enjoying seasonal scenery. Dining options feature menus that use ingredients produced in Hokkaido and fresh seafood from the surrounding seas.
Access: approximately a 15-minute walk from JR Shikabe Station, or about 70 minutes by car from Hakodate Airport.
