52-Hour Limit, 4,600 Personnel Effort: Details of the Shibuya Station Construction Halting Half of the Yamanote Line
JR Kyushu began sales of the “JR Kyupo Unlimited Ride Ticket” on June 27.
This ticket allows unlimited rides for two consecutive days on the Kyushu Shinkansen, the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen, limited express trains on conventional lines, and ordinary and rapid trains’ non-reserved ordinary-class seats, as well as the Hitahikosan Line BRT in Japan’s Kyushu region. When using reserved seats in ordinary cars or Green Cars, a separate reserved-seat limited express ticket or limited express/Green Car ticket is required. The number of points required for exchange is 10,000 JR Kyupo points.
The ticket is sold exclusively through the JR Kyushu Internet Train Reservation Service, up to the day before travel. Before boarding, travelers must collect the ticket at a Midori-no-Madoguchi (JR ticket office) or a reserved-seat ticket vending machine at the station. It cannot be used on the Sanyo Shinkansen between Hakata and Kokura stations, or on the Hakata-Minami Line between Hakata and Hakata-Minami stations.
It is available year-round. Blackout dates are set every year from August 10 to 19, from December 28 to January 6, and from April 27 to May 6. In addition, for 2026, blackout dates are set from September 19 to 27.
To commemorate the start of sales, a campaign is being held from May 27 to July 15 during which the “JR Kyupo Unlimited Ride Ticket” can be exchanged for 8,000 JR Kyupo points. The valid travel period for tickets obtained through this campaign is from June 27 to July 16.
