All Nippon Airways (ANA) will revamp its pre-order service for international inflight duty-free sales from July 15.
Customers will no longer need a flight reservation to browse products on the pre-order website. The ordering period will also change to from 45 days to 2 days before departure (3 days before departure for flights originating overseas). Payment will be accepted only by credit card or debit card. Card information will be entered when placing an order, and payment will be processed after the products are received onboard.
The new service will apply to flights departing Japan from August 1. For flights originating overseas, the service will be introduced sequentially after the arrival and turnaround of flights departing Japan.
To commemorate the revamp, ANA will run a campaign from July 15 through August 16. Eligible flights are those departing from August 1 (for flights departing Japan) through September 20. Discounts of 15% (normally 10%) will be offered for payments with an ANA Card, while payments with other credit cards and debit cards will receive a 5% discount (normally no discount). Orders placed through the pre-order website before the revamp will not be eligible for the campaign.
