Qatar Airways Launches Welcome Back Campaign for Haneda Arrivals
Cebu Pacific will introduce in-flight Wi-Fi service using Starlink, the low Earth orbit satellite communications service provided by SpaceX, from 2027.
Indigo Partners, Cebu Pacific’s parent company, plans to introduce Starlink on more than 1,000 aircraft operated by its affiliated airlines.
Passengers will be able to use the service for a variety of purposes, including video streaming and online gaming. The airline says it will also improve connectivity for cabin crew and operations teams, helping to enhance operational efficiency.
Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite communications service is characterized by high-speed, low-latency connectivity. Starlink has already been introduced by ZIPAIR Tokyo, Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines, among others. This will be the first introduction of Starlink by a low-cost carrier (LCC) in Southeast Asia.
