Fuji Dream Airlines Orders Two Additional Embraer E175 Aircraft
Emirates has introduced the new “U-Dream” headrest in Economy Class.
The multi-adjustable headrest is designed to rotate 90 degrees forward to support the neck and head. Both sides can be adjusted to hold the neck in place, helping passengers maintain a comfortable sleeping position. Made of leather, it is designed to be easily wiped clean.
The feature was developed by Safran Seats and is fitted to its Z400 seat. It was displayed at the Aircraft Interiors Expo held in April 2024. It is said to meet safety standards set by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
It is currently installed on three Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Emirates also unveiled a recently delivered aircraft at the Farnborough Airshow, currently being held outside London, United Kingdom.
It will be installed on Airbus A350 aircraft by the end of the year, and on refurbished Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft from 2027 onward. It will be fitted to Boeing 777X aircraft upon delivery.
