Hattendo will complete its new factory in June 2027, with operations expected to begin around autumn 2027.
The factory will be built within Hattendo Village, an experiential food theme park located in front of Hiroshima Airport. Building on the company’s history of producing traditional Japanese sweets, Western-style confectionery, and bread, Hattendo plans to expand its capacity to produce bread and sweets for souvenirs and gifts. The three-story steel-frame building will have a total floor area of approximately 3,483.89 square meters.
Hattendo will establish a production management system aimed at obtaining food safety system certification, strengthening risk management while improving operational efficiency and expanding into international markets. The new factory will also include a visitor tour facility, contributing to tourism promotion around Hiroshima Airport and to the local community.
