Swiss International Air Lines will upgauge two aircraft based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Beginning with the summer 2027 schedule, the airline will deploy two Airbus A320neo aircraft to replace two Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Seating capacity will increase from 145 to 180 seats. The aircraft will be operated on the Geneva–London/Heathrow route, one of the highest-demand routes serving Geneva.
Jens Fehlinger, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), commented, “This is a strong signal for our Geneva base. We aim to secure our position in Geneva over the long term and continue strengthening it through targeted measures. An attractive, demand-driven and profitable route network plays a decisive role in this.”
