Hilton Nagoya Strawberry Sweets Buffet “Strawberry Collection – The Secret Party”
The Capitol Hotel Tokyu has begun a major renovation of its banquet facilities and will reopen them in October.
The Grand Ballroom “Ho-o” will be fitted with two high-definition large LED displays with a 2.6-millimeter pixel pitch, each measuring 6 meters wide by 5 meters high, equivalent to 307 inches. Offering resolution beyond Full HD, the displays support a 6:5 large-screen format as well as switching to the standard 16:9 format. They will also work in tandem with the existing large screens to create an immersive visual space throughout the venue. The foyer will be newly partitionable through the addition of walls and a review of traffic flow, enabling VIP hospitality areas and dedicated reception desks. Interior designs, including carpets and wall finishes, will be completely renewed across all five banquet venues. Chandeliers dating from the hotel’s time as the Tokyo Hilton Hotel, the memorial wall commemorating the Beatles’ 1966 press conference during their visit to Japan, and works by Toko Shinoda will be preserved and repositioned after the renovation.
Starting with the banquet facility renovation, the hotel plans to carry out a large-scale renewal program over the next three years, covering guest room floors including the club lounge, as well as its restaurants, bars, and other facilities.
