Daiwa House Realty Management opened Daiwa Roynet Hotel Matsue Ekimae on August 6.
The 10-story building offers a total of 208 rooms across nine room types: 12 Deluxe Twin rooms, 11 Triple rooms, 33 Superior Twin rooms, 14 Superior Queen rooms, 66 Moderate Double rooms, 67 Casual Double rooms, 2 Universal Twin rooms, 1 Universal Double room, and 2 Force rooms for up to four guests, featuring raised tatami areas and sunken kotatsu tables. Deluxe Twin and Triple rooms are equipped with refrigerators with freezers and microwave ovens, while Force rooms additionally include drum-type washer-dryers. Rates for a Casual Double room start from JPY 10,000 per room per night and go up to JPY 80,000, including tax.
The large public bath features a sauna with automatic löyly, a chiller-equipped cold bath, and an outdoor air-bathing area. The hotel also includes a post-bath relaxation area overlooking a tsuboniwa courtyard garden with raised tatami seating and benches, a fitness room with treadmills, exercise bikes, and training machines, a meeting room, and an unattended convenience store offering beverages, snack foods, and daily necessities. Breakfast is served as a Japanese and Western buffet featuring local ingredients and regional dishes, including sashimi made with local fish, shijimi clam soup from Lake Shinji, Izumo-style warigo soba, oden made with flying-fish broth, and small side dishes.
The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the north exit of Matsue Station on the JR Sanin Main Line, or a 10-minute drive from the Matsue Chuo Interchange (IC) on the Sanin Expressway.
