Space Aviation launched its “Airport Heli Shuttle” on September 15.
The service connects the Kansai International Airport heliport and JPD Kyoto Heliport in approximately 25 minutes. It operates eight flights per day, or four round trips, subject to reservations. The aircraft used is an Airbus Helicopters H130 with seating for six passengers. Fares are 20,000 yen per person for shared flights and 120,000 yen per aircraft for charter flights. Shared flights operate with a minimum of four passengers.
The company has obtained business registration and permission to operate within the restricted area of Kansai International Airport, and provides transfers from the arrival gate to the heliport in its own vehicles. Charter flights depart from Kansai International Airport and can also serve destinations other than Kyoto.
