Hawaiian Airlines to Consolidate International Check-in Counters at Honolulu Airport
British Airways has announced plans to revamp its lounges at London Heathrow Airport.
Over the coming years, the airline will refurbish all of its lounges. The first phase will include the opening of a new lounge at the C Gates in Terminal 5 and a full renovation of the Arrivals Lounge. In addition, British Airways will open a new First Class check-in facility in Terminal 3 in collaboration with American Airlines.
The C Gates lounge will offer panoramic views of the runway and concourse. It will feature materials and finishes sourced from across the United Kingdom, incorporating British craftsmanship in its woodwork, glass, metalwork, textiles, and bespoke furniture. The lounge will offer dining, relaxation and work areas, as well as shower facilities. It will include a 17-metre bar, which is expected to be among the longest bars in an airport lounge worldwide. It will be available to Business Class passengers and elite members of The British Airways Club. A “Concorde Lounge,” with dedicated concierge services, will be available for First Class passengers. Construction has already begun, with opening scheduled for the end of 2028.
The Arrivals Lounge will feature a coffee bar and deli, an expanded dining area, a quiet relaxation zone, and dedicated work booths. It will have 59 shower rooms, including premium shower suites and shared changing and grooming areas. It will be available to Club World passengers. First Class passengers will also be able to use the “Concorde Arrivals Experience,” which will include private cabanas and dedicated dining. Renovation work is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with opening planned for the end of the same year.
The new First Class check-in facility in Terminal 3 will feature a deep red design inspired by the “First Wing” in Terminal 5. It is scheduled to open this winter.
