Norse Atlantic Airways and Pakistan International Airlines have signed a wet lease agreement for Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Operations between multiple cities in the United Kingdom and Pakistan are expected to begin in early November. Two aircraft will be deployed.
Amir Hayat, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines, commented: “The United Kingdom is an important market for Pakistan International Airlines, and this agreement will enable us to expand much-needed capacity and offer more choice and connectivity to passengers using these routes. We are delighted to partner with Norse Atlantic Airways as we strengthen our international network and meet strong demand for nonstop flights between the two countries. This will be the first Dreamliner introduced to the Pakistani market, and we hope to provide a dreamlike journey for our valued customers who expect premium service from the national airline.”
Norse Atlantic Airways had announced the end of its wet lease agreement with IndiGo. The airline is also continuing discussions regarding wet leases with other carriers.
