Saudia Announces New Boeing 787 Seats and Retrofit Program in Collaboration with Collins
Saudia has announced a new seating arrangement for its Boeing 787 aircraft and a retrofit program for existing planes, in contract with Collins Aerospace.
Collins Aerospace will install newly designed seats in both business and economy class of the Boeing 787 aircraft, expected to be received from the beginning of 2026.
Furthermore, the retrofit program for existing Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 aircraft’s seats will take place from the latter half of 2025 to the latter half of 2027. This will lead to the business class on wide-body aircraft being composed of private suites.
The arrangement also includes repair capabilities and spare manufacturing capabilities at Saudia Technics, which is expected to improve the performance and operational efficiency of the aircraft.
