Lufthansa Group Reaches Labor Agreement with Union
Lufthansa Group and the United Services Trade Union (Verdi) have reached a new labor agreement for their ground staff.
The agreement covers approximately 20,000 ground staff at Lufthansa German Airlines, Lufthansa Technik, and Lufthansa Cargo, including salary increases, inflation compensation, additional holiday pay, and packages for trainees.
Salary increases will be made in two installments, roughly 12.5% in total: 7% or at least 280 euros in January 2024, and an increase of 150 euros + 2% in March 2025. As inflation compensation, an immediate payment of 2,000 euros and another 1,000 euros by November will be made. The agreement also includes a 3.6% increase in shift allowances and holiday pay. Lufthansa German Airlines will introduce a flextime system of up to 40 hours.
