JAL to Expand Airbus A350-1000 Service from Haneda to New York, Increasing to Two Round Trips Daily Starting July 1

Japan Airlines (JAL) is expanding the deployment of the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on the Tokyo/Haneda to New York/John F. Kennedy route.

The aircraft is configured in a four-class layout with 239 seats: 6 First Class seats in a ‘1-1-1’ arrangement, 54 Business Class seats in a ‘1-2-1’ arrangement, 24 Premium Economy Class seats in a ‘2-4-2’ arrangement, and 155 Economy Class seats in a ‘3-3-3’ arrangement. For the first time in JAL’s history, both First Class and Business Class feature private suites with doors. The In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system in all classes offers 4K resolution monitors and can be connected to wireless headphones via Bluetooth.

According to the seat availability screen, the service will begin on July 1 (the day following the local departure) on JL4 departing from Tokyo/Haneda at 6:30 PM and JL3 departing from New York/John F. Kennedy at 1:30 AM, on select days. From July 25th, the plan is to deploy it on two round trips all day.
