KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will allow its employees to wear sneakers from May 6.
Employees can choose their own sneakers as long as they meet certain requirements, in addition to KLM-designed sneakers by Filling Pieces.
This initiative responds to the demand for more comfortable work shoes, and there are employees who have been looking for an alternative to pumps. Testing conducted in 2023 has shown that wearing sneakers contributes to employees’ health.
