Batik Air Malaysia will introduce fares that do not include checked baggage on its domestic and ASEAN routes.
The new fares will apply to bookings made after May 1st and for flights taken from June 1st onwards, under the newly established “Super Saver Economy Class”. Travelers choosing this fare will either have to travel without checked baggage or pay an additional fee to purchase a checked baggage allowance.
Checked baggage fees can be pre-purchased at a discounted rate at the time of booking or at standard rates at the airport counter, meeting the changing needs of travelers in the domestic and ASEAN markets.
Other economy fares include a 10kg checked baggage allowance for the Value fare and a 20kg allowance for the Flexi fare.
