Keikyu Kamata Station Transforms into ‘Keikyu Kamata Takohai Station’ with a Bar Serving Dumplings and Octopus Highballs on Platform 2
The Keihin Electric Express Railway, in collaboration with Suntory and the Ota District Shopping Street Association, will implement a special event from May 18 to June 16.
During this period, Keikyu Kamata Station will be renamed ‘Keikyu Kamata Takohai Station’, undergo various decorative changes inside and around the station, and feature announcements by Minami Tanaka, who serves as the commercial character for ‘Kamata Takohai’.
On May 18 & 19 and June 8 & 9, a pop-up bar named ‘Keikyu Kamata Takohai Station Bar’ will open on platform 2 of Keikyu Kamata Station. Here, visitors can enjoy Kamata’s beloved gourmet dumplings and octopus highballs. Beverages and dumplings will be available as a set for 300 yen, with additional a la carte menu options. The bar will operate from 1 PM to 7 PM, with last admission at 6:30 PM.
Additionally, in the vicinity of Keikyu Kamata Station, the ‘Kamata Takohai Festival’ will offer a half-price coupon for an octopus highball redeemable at participating shops in the surrounding shopping district. Customers can access this offer by scanning the QR codes found on posters inside Keikyu Kamata Station, on Keikyu trains, and at participating storefronts. A Suntory official X follow & repost campaign will also be held.
