Tokyu Toyoko Line Modifies Its Reserved Seat Service ‘Q SEAT’: Scaled Down to One Carriage and Set to Seven Trains a Day
Echigo Tokimeki Railway will suspend the operation of the 413 and 455 series tourist express trains from January 9 to the end of March 2024.
The 413 and 455 series tourist expresses have been operating since July 4, 2021. Utilizing funds from a successful crowdfunding campaign completed in the fiscal year 2022, an important inspection of the 455 series will be followed by a general overhaul of two 413 series cars and westernization of the toilets on the 455 series. The suspension affects Express trains 1, 2, 3, and 4 (entire route).
Currently, the “Naoetsu Station 8:43 departure Rapid for Myoko-Kogen” and the “Myoko-Kogen Station 9:44 departure Rapid for Naoetsu” operating on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays with the 413 and 455 series tourist express vehicles will be operated by the ET127 series.
