United Airlines has released a new in-flight safety video.
Featuring 17 employees including cabin crew, pilots, customer service agents, and ramp service staff, the video demonstrates safety procedures through a creative concept designed to keep the attention of frequent flyers.
The development started in June 2023, with filming taking place in October. It was approved by the Federal Aviation Administration in March of this year. Broadcasting started on some aircraft on May 25th, with plans to expand across the fleet by summer. It has prepared 171 customized versions to accommodate 8 different aircraft types and 20 seat configurations across 18 languages.
The video includes 12 mechanical setups with over 1,000 dominoes and balls moving throughout the cabin. It continues to feature “Rhapsody in Blue,” composed by George Gershwin and arranged by Ferde Grofé.
The creative agency 72andSunny, production partner 1stAveMachine, and award-winning director Karim Zarifa handled the production.
