Hawaiian Airlines marks the 20th anniversary of its Honolulu-Sydney route.
Established in 2004, this was the airline’s first long-haul route and is one of its most frequented international flights. Over a million Australians have visited the Hawaiian islands, with one in four passengers connecting in Honolulu for flights to the mainland United States. The route currently operates five round trips per week.
Hawaiian Airlines employees celebrated the 20th anniversary by hosting events related to the people and region of New South Wales, Australia, featuring live music and hula dancing by the Hawaiian Airlines Serenaders, and engaging with the local travel industry. Additionally, they performed community service at Freshwater Beach, donating $2,500 to conservation groups to support their efforts.
This summer, the airline will offer high-speed free Wi-Fi through Starlink on its Airbus A330 aircraft. They are also planning to operate their state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 aircraft to the Australian continent.
