JR East and Nomura Real Estate Decide on ‘BLUE FRONT SHIBAURA’ as the Name for Shibaura Project District
JR East and Nomura Real Estate have decided on ‘BLUE FRONT SHIBAURA’ as the district name for the Shibaura Project under the National Strategic Special Zone plan.
The project, which encompasses approximately 550,000 square meters of total floor area, is a large-scale mixed-use development involving the reconstruction of the Hamamatsucho Building, including the construction of twin towers with a height of about 230 meters. This extensive development, spanning about 10 years, includes offices, a hotel, commercial facilities, and residences.
The already commenced S building is scheduled to be completed in February 2025, housing the luxury ‘Fairmont Tokyo’ hotel, offices, and commercial facilities primarily consisting of restaurants. The N building is set to start construction in the fiscal year 2027 and complete in the fiscal year 2030.
Located near the Hinode Pier and Shibaura Canal, the development also plans to set up docking facilities and develop new water transport routes. It will serve as a hub connecting the bay areas, such as Harumi Flag and Odaiba, with the city center.
