JR East to Operate ‘Sakuranbo SATONO’ Special Rapid Service Between Yamagata and Sazawa Station from Mid to Late June
JR East will operate the ‘Sakuranbo SATONO’ special rapid service on June 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th.
This service is in conjunction with the ‘Yamagata Prefecture Spring Tourism Campaign’ currently being held. It will run a round trip between Yamagata Station and Sazawa Station with a formation of two HB-E300 series cars. All seats are reserved, with Car 1 offering Green (first-class) seating and Car 2 offering Standard (second-class) reserved seating. Onboard, bento boxes, cherries, and bagels will be sold, and a commemorative ride stamp will be provided.
The fare is 2,000 yen for adults and children in Car 1 (Green car reserved seats), and 840 yen for adults and 420 yen for children in Car 2 (Standard car reserved seats). A separate fare ticket is required. Products sold on the train differ between the outbound and return journeys, and pre-ordering via ‘Uketorip’ is necessary.
