Hotel Metropolitan Launches a Collaboration Room with Suica Penguin, Starting May 1
Hyatt Opens ‘Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka’, Its First Brand Entrance into Japan
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened ‘Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka’ on June 12.
This brand is a new hotel brand by Hyatt that started in Memphis, USA, in June 2022, and the ‘Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka’ is the third in the world following its launch in Shanghai in April this year. It is located in an area known as “Ura-Namba”, filled with unique and distinctive eateries, providing convenient access to Osaka’s major areas including Shinsekai and Tennoji.
The hotel offers 167 rooms in two categories: standard (20 square meters) and deluxe (30 square meters). Its playful design and functionality realize a comfortable space. Highlights include unique lighting and wardrobes inspired by the handles of Japanese swords, as well as pop illustrations and features of the room introduced in Osaka dialect, bringing a fun and playful touch. Moreover, the hotel utilizes bed boards and tables and chairs made from upcycled materials of ocean plastic waste and old clothes, achieving both stylish design and sustainability.
Dining options focus on cafe menus, incorporating fresh fish and vegetables sourced from Kuromon Market and serving soul food representing Osaka. A 24-hour pantry also sells local snacks and drinks.
The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Nipponbashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji and Sennichimae Lines, or about a 6-minute walk from Namba Station on the Nankai Main Line.
