Sukesan Udon Opens a Pop-up Restaurant in Tokyo for a Limited Time: July 13 to 15
Sapporo Susukino’s long-established Genghis Khan restaurant ‘Daruma’ is set to open its first store outside the Susukino area, ‘Daruma Ueno Okachimachi Store’ on July 14.
‘Daruma’ was founded in 1954. It is said that the origin of ‘Daruma’ lies in the efforts of the previous owner, Kinkan Kikuko, to make the strong-flavored and hard-to-eat Genghis Khan mutton delicious by innovating in the way it was cut and in the sauce served. It has been loved by local customers as well as tourists, and currently operates six stores in the Susukino area. To mark the milestone of its 70th anniversary, the decision was made to expand into Tokyo in response to demand.
The business hours are from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
