Qatar Airways to Introduce Starlink’s Free High-Speed Internet Service
Qatar Airways is introducing Starlink’s free high-speed Internet service.
A single click enables seamless Wi-Fi connectivity. The maximum speed is 350Mbps, allowing passengers to enjoy gaming and streaming for free. The service is currently in a pre-launch phase targeting the airline’s entire fleet.
Akbar Al Baker, the CEO of Qatar Airways, commented, “We are proud to have reached an agreement with Starlink to provide our customers around the world with seamless and free Wi-Fi. This exciting collaboration is not only in line with our industry-leading approach to technological adoption, but it also offers an unmissable opportunity to connect Starlink with our global customer base. We look forward to enhancing the in-flight experience of our passengers with this latest technology.”
In-flight Internet services leveraging Starlink have been announced for adoption by JSX, Hawaiian Airlines, AirBaltic, and ZIPAIR Tokyo. Among them, Qatar Airways will have the largest scale of implementation.
