ANA’s Airbus A380 ‘FLYING HONU’ Initiates First Double Daily Service on Tokyo/Narita to Honolulu Route

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will increase flights from today, December 6th, on the Tokyo/Narita to Honolulu route, operating the Airbus A380 ‘FLYING HONU’ for two round trips daily.

The additional flights will consist of NH182/181, operating all four daily flights on this route using the Airbus A380. The decision to increase flights comes in anticipation of the increased demand during the winter holidays and end-of-year period, as well as an expected demand recovery thereafter. This marks the first time that flights will be operated twice daily with the Airbus A380 aircraft.

The ‘FLYING HONU,’ symbolizing the ‘flying sea turtle,’ is equipped with 383 Economy Class seats on the main deck, and 8 First Class seats, 56 Business Class seats, and 73 Premium Economy seats, totaling 520 seats on the upper deck. As a result, combined with the Tokyo/Haneda to Honolulu route, ANA will have three round trips daily between Tokyo and Honolulu, making the number of seats offered on ANA’s Honolulu routes the highest ever, including before the COVID-19 pandemic.
