ITA Airways is introducing premium economy class on its Tokyo/Haneda to Rome flights.
Currently, the airline is operating a two-class Airbus A350-900 on the route, but will switch to a three-class configuration from July 6th. The new setup will include 33 business class seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 262 economy class seats, totaling 319 seats. Business class will lose 2 seats, and economy class will be reduced by 33 seats. Premium economy will offer priority boarding and disembarkation, dedicated overhead bins, and extra legroom.
The initiative to enhance customer service was announced at the Italian Ambassador’s residence in Tokyo, highlighting the strategic importance of the Japanese market for business and leisure travelers.
