Kyoto Prefecture has announced the re-launch of its nationwide travel support initiative, the ‘Discover Kyoto’s Charm Travel Project,’ starting January 9, 2024.
The campaign targets residents of Japan, offering a discount equivalent to 20% of the travel cost. The maximum discount per person per night/day is 3,000 yen for accommodation plans, 5,000 yen for group travel plans with transportation included, and 3,000 yen for both group accommodation plans and day-trip plans. Additionally, weekday travelers will receive a regional coupon worth 2,000 yen, and holiday travelers, a coupon worth 1,000 yen. Only direct bookings with accommodation facilities are eligible for the accommodation plans. Group travel plans require the use of a chartered bus.
The project will be implemented from January 9 to January 31, 2024, with the travel accommodation being valid until checkout on February 1, 2024. The offer applies to bookings made after December 22, 2023. The campaign will end early if the budget limit is reached.
