Jetstar Japan has decided to cancel two flights on December 25th due to crew scheduling issues.
According to the Jetstar Crew Association (JCA), two flights, GK501/500, on the Tokyo/Narita to Fukuoka route will be cancelled due to crew scheduling. The JCA is a labor union organized by pilots and cabin crew members, and it was established in July 2018. They have gone on a designated strike from December 22nd, as they had not reached an agreement during the collective bargaining on the night of the 21st. On the 24th, two flights on the same route were cancelled, but while the JCA attributes the cancellations to the strike’s impact, the company has announced that they were due to crew illnesses.
