JR East to Operate Overnight Trains on 7 Lines in the Tokyo Area from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day
JR Hokkaido Operates Extra Limited Express from Sapporo to Hakodate Connecting to Extra ‘Hayate’ Bound for Tokyo
Due to the reduction of flights caused by the fire at Haneda Airport, JR Hokkaido is operating an extra limited express train on the 3rd, from Sapporo Station to Hakodate Station.
The extra limited express train departs from Sapporo Station at 3:05 PM and from Minami-Chitose Station at 3:36 PM, arriving at Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station at 6:45 PM and at Hakodate Station at 7:02 PM. The train stops at Shin-Sapporo, Minami-Chitose, Tomakomai, Shiraoi, Noboribetsu, Higashi-Muroran, Date-Monbetsu, Toya, Oshamanbe, Yakumo, Mori, Onuma Park, Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto, and Goryokaku stations along the way. The train formation consists of four cars, all with unreserved seating.
At Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station, the train connects with the extra ‘Hayate No. 546’ Hokkaido-Tohoku Shinkansen bound for Tokyo Station, departing at 7:04 PM. For more information.
