Extra Shinkansen Trains Deployed in Tohoku, Hokkaido, and Hokuriku Regions Due to Reduced Flights
JR East, JR West, and JR Hokkaido will operate additional Shinkansen (bullet train) services today, April 4th, in response to the reduced number of flights due to a fire at Haneda Airport.
On the Hokuriku Shinkansen line, the ‘Hakutaka 696’ service will run from Kanazawa Station to Tokyo Station. It departs Kanazawa Station at 7:38 PM and arrives at Tokyo Station at 10:20 PM. It stops at the following stations en route: Shin-Takaoka, Toyama, Joetsu-Myoko, Nagano, Omiya, and Ueno.
For the Hokkaido and Tohoku Shinkansen lines, ‘Hayate 546’ service will run from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station to Tokyo Station. It leaves Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station at 7:04 PM and reaches Tokyo Station at 11:36 PM. The train stops at these stations along the way: Shin-Aomori, Morioka, Sendai, Omiya, and Ueno.
Both trains will operate with all ordinary cars as unreserved seating.
