Increase in Armed Robberies in Manila, Foreigners Targeted?
Massive Strikes Across Germany, Potential Traffic Disruptions
A massive strike is set to take place across Germany from January 8 to 15.
The German Farmers’ Union Federation (DBV) and the Rhineland Agricultural Association, among others, are conducting protest actions nationwide, with numerous tractors driving and roads being blocked, which is expected to cause significant traffic disruptions.
The Train Drivers’ Union (GDL), which includes drivers from Deutsche Bahn (DB), will also carry out a nationwide strike from 2 a.m. on the 10th to 6 p.m. on the 12th. Freight trains will start their strike from 6 p.m. on the 9th. DB has advised that severe disruptions are expected across long-distance, regional, and S-Bahn services and is allowing cancellations and travel postponements free of charge.
