JR West will resume operations on the Nanao Line between Hakui and Nanao stations from the first train on January 22.
Local trains will operate at their regular frequency, while a portion of the limited express trains will run between Kanazawa and Nanao stations. The limited express trains resuming operations are the “Noto Kagaribi No. 1 & 8” and the “Thunderbird No. 17 & 20.”
Due to changes in the timetable, some trains will depart earlier than their usual schedule. Between Shikinami and Hakui stations, where the effects of the earthquake were significant, trains will operate at reduced speeds.
Operations between Nanao and Wakura Onsen stations are expected to resume by mid-February. Wakura Onsen station had been identified with significant platform damage.
