Tokyo Monorail will implement a timetable revision and a fare hike on March 16th.
Fares between Monorail Hamamatsucho Station and each station at Haneda Airport will be increased to 591 yen for IC card users (an increase of 27 yen) and to 520 yen for ticket purchasers (an increase of 20 yen). Commuter pass fares will also go up, while student commuter fares will remain unchanged. The admission fee will be raised by 20 yen to 180 yen, and the refund fee will be unified to 220 yen.
For special travel tickets, the ‘Monorail & Yamanote Line Discount Ticket’ will increase by 40 yen to 540 yen for adults, and the ‘Tokyo Monorail Along-the-Line Walking 1-Day Pass’ will increase by 400 yen to 700 yen. Half price for children. The sale of the ‘Monorail Haneda Discount Round-Trip Ticket’ and the ‘Monorail & Odaiba Excitement Ticket’ will be discontinued.
The last train times will be pushed back by 20 minutes from Haneda Airport stations and by 15 minutes from Monorail Hamamatsucho Station. After the current last train, additional section rapid services will be added. In the evening hours, more airport rapid or section rapid services will be increased from Haneda Airport on the ascending route. After the timetable revision, the number of trains operated from 9 pm to 11 pm will increase by 4 to 19 trains. On weekdays, two section rapid services in the morning from 6 am and one local service in the evening from 6 pm will be added from Monorail Hamamatsucho Station. On weekends and holidays, the service intervals and number of trains operating between 6 am and 8 am on the descending route and the late 4 pm to 5 pm on the ascending route will be reviewed.
