Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) will retire its green livery Number 4 aircraft (an Embraer 170 model, registration JA04FJ) in March.
Manufactured in 2006, the aircraft commenced operations in October 2010. In July 2011, it was appointed as the ‘Matsumoto City Tourism Ambassador’ by Matsumoto City in Nagano Prefecture. The role is currently carried on by the newly built Number 11 aircraft. A farewell event is planned to be organized, with details to be announced shortly.
Currently owning 16 aircraft, the company will decrease to 15. The change to a 15-aircraft fleet is aimed at ‘strengthening the revenue base in preparation for future business expansion.’ The company indicates that it will consider increasing the number of aircraft if it can ensure profitable routes and other favorable conditions are met.
