Emirates will introduce the Airbus A380 aircraft, equipped with Premium Economy Class, on the Osaka/Kansai to Dubai route starting June 1.
The aircraft will replace the currently operated Boeing 777-300ER. The refurbished Airbus A380s feature a four-class configuration, consisting of 14 First Class suites, 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy Class seats, and 338 Economy Class seats, totaling 484 seats.
The Premium Economy Class seats are arranged in a ‘2-4-2’ configuration, located at the front of the lower deck, offering 56 seats. The seat pitch is up to 40 inches, with a seat width of 19.5 inches. The seats are finished in cream-colored anti-stain leather with wood paneling similar to Business Class. Features include a 13.3-inch monitor, a headrest, footrest, and leg rest that can be adjusted in six directions.
Onboard, passengers will be welcomed with a drink and served meals on ceramic dishes, alongside premium wines, sparkling wines, liqueurs, and chocolates after meals. Comfort is further enhanced with blankets made from recycled plastic bottles, spacious pillows, and amenity kits.
The introduction of Premium Economy Class on Japanese routes follows the service launch on the Tokyo/Narita to Dubai route in December 2023, marking the second route. Premium Economy Class will eventually be introduced across 120 aircraft, including 67 Airbus A380s and 53 Boeing 777s, providing over 4,000 seats.
