Jeju Air Introduces Pre-order In-flight Meals Featuring the Spiciness of Korean Cuisine
Jeju Air has started offering pre-order in-flight meals focusing on the spiciness of Korean cuisine.
Developed in collaboration with the Korean cuisine specialty restaurant ‘Samwon Garden’, which was selected as a recommended restaurant in the Michelin Guide Seoul 2023, they have launched ‘Beef Galbi-jjim Bento’ and ‘Dak Galbi Bento’, along with Jeju Rock Shrimp Bibim Sauce sets including ‘Beef Dak Galbi Bento with Jeju Rock Shrimp Bibim Sauce Set’, ‘Beef Galbi-jjim Bento with Jeju Rock Shrimp Bibim Sauce Set’, and also ‘Spicy Tomato Pasta with Dumpling Gratin Set’.
In Jeju Air’s pre-purchase and in-flight purchase meals, ‘Bulgogi Bowl’ and ‘Ramen’ were the most popular. In pre-order in-flight meals, ‘Five-Color Bibimbap’ and ‘Sweet and Spicy Pork Bowl’ were ranked second and third, respectively. It is reported that ‘Beef Galbi-jjim Bento’ and ‘Dak Galbi Bento’, which were launched in December 2023, accounted for about 16% of the sales volume from January to February.
The newly launched pre-order in-flight meals can be purchased up to 24 hours before departure. Some ultra short-haul routes are excluded.
