Lufthansa German Airlines and SWISS International Air Lines have started offering Japanese cuisine on their Japan routes.
Lufthansa German Airlines resumed offering Japanese cuisine such as sushi, sukiyaki, and soba on flights to and from Japan starting October 2023. Sushi, sukiyaki, and soba are available on all classes on flights from Tokyo/Haneda to Frankfurt, with business class enjoying a kaiseki-inspired course starting with an appetizer.
SWISS International Air Lines has also recently started offering Japanese cuisine. This option is available in the business class on flights to and from Tokyo/Narita, and reservations in advance are recommended.
