Marriott International has established a strategic partnership with HMI Hotel Group.
They will rebrand 7 hotels operated by HMI Hotel Group in 5 cities within the country as “Marriott Hotels” and “Courtyard by Marriott”. This marks Marriott Group’s first foray into Hamamatsu City and Kitakyushu City, with approximately 2,200 guest rooms in total.
The hotels to be rebranded include: Hamamatsu Marriott Hotel (currently Grand Hotel Hamamatsu), Kyoto Marriott Hotel (currently Hotel Heian no Mori Kyoto), Kobe Marriott Hotel (currently Hotel Crown Palms Kobe), Okinawa Marriott Resort & Spa (currently Rizzan Sea-Park Hotel Tancha Bay), Courtyard by Marriott Kobe (currently Hotel Pearl City Kobe), Courtyard by Marriott Kokura (currently Hotel Crown Palms Kokura), and Courtyard by Marriott Kitakyushu (currently Hotel Crown Palms Kitakyushu). The rebranded hotels will open sequentially starting autumn 2025.
