JetBlue Introduces New In-flight Experience Platform ‘Blueprint by JetBlue’ Allowing Movie Watching for Groups of Six
JetBlue Airways has announced the launch of its in-flight experience platform ‘Blueprint by JetBlue’.
The service aims to provide a personalized in-flight experience, enabling passengers to watch, save, and discover content in the sky as if they were at home. It has begun rolling out on aircraft equipped with Thales’ AVANT touchscreen displays, expected to be fully deployed by May.
In-flight, up to six people can watch movies or TV shows simultaneously. Regardless of where passengers are seated, they can control play and pause functions on all linked screens.
Additional features include content recommendations, the ability to resume watching content from where it was left off on connecting flights, saving favorites, and the ability to save settings such as volume, language, and parental controls for future flights. Exclusive access to entertainment and perks from streaming partners like Peacock is also provided.
Furthermore, passengers can display a personal welcome message by changing their name in their travel profile and those boarding on their birthday will receive confetti graphics and a free drink. In-flight services such as viewing connecting flight information, ordering meals, and signing up for loyalty programs can all be done through the screen.
