The historic Jingisukan restaurant ‘Genghis Khan Daruma’ from Sapporo’s Susukino area is opening its first location outside of the Susukino area, ‘Genghis Khan Daruma Ueno Okachimachi Store,’ in early July.
Founded in 1954, ‘Genghis Khan Daruma’ started based on the innovations by the predecessor Kin Kan Kikuko, who worked on the cutting method and sauce to make the initially hard-to-eat and strong-flavored Jingisukan delicious. Beloved by local customers as well as tourists, it now operates six outlets in the Susukino area. To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the decision was made to expand into Tokyo in response to demand.
The operating hours will be from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
