REVOLUT TECHNOLOGIES JAPAN, the operator of the next-generation financial app “Revolut,” is reducing deposit fees from Mastercard.
Starting June 11, deposit fees will be abolished for credit and debit cards issued in Japan by the Mastercard brand. For Mastercard brand prepaid cards, the deposit fee will be reduced by 0.4% to 1.3%. Deposit fees for cards issued outside of Japan, as well as commercial cards such as business cards, will remain at 1.7%.
Revolut is a fintech company established in the UK in July 2015. It issues multi-currency debit cards, features low foreign exchange rate spreads, and allows for easy transfers between members.
