Hilton is set to open “Hilton Kyoto” on September 12.
Developed by Tokyo Tatemono as part of the (tentatively named) Kyoto Sanjo Kawaramachi Hotel Project, with CBRE supporting the selection of the hotel operator. This marks the debut of the “Hilton Hotels & Resorts” brand in Kyoto, and it will be the fifth property of the Hilton Group in the region. Embodying the concept of “Kyoto SYNAPSE,” the hotel aims to connect guests with the various attractions of Kyoto, from its history and modernity to its traditions and innovations.
The building consists of 10 floors above ground and 2 below. The hotel offers 313 rooms in 16 types, including about 40 square meters standard rooms as its core, 10 suites, and 28 sets of connecting rooms. On the 9th floor, the executive lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails while guests enjoy views of Kyoto’s cityscape and sky garden.
There are four dining facilities: an all-day dining that offers an international menu, a specialty restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes cooked with Kyoto ingredients in an oven, a lobby café & bar as a welcome lounge, and a rooftop bar on the top floor where guests can enjoy the scenery of the Kamogawa River and Higashiyama, as well as seasonal traditional events like the Gozan no Okuribi. The hotel also features a spa, fitness center, indoor pool, and banquet/meeting rooms.
Access is easy: 2 minutes on foot from the Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Bus Stop by Kyoto City Bus, 2 minutes on foot from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line, and 4 minutes on foot from Sanjo Station on the Keihan Electric Railway.
