APA Group has acquired land for a major hotel development in front of Sapporo Station in Hokkaido, Japan.
The area around Sapporo Station is undergoing redevelopment in anticipation of the Hokkaido Shinkansen, scheduled to open in 2030. As the largest hub station in the region, it is expected to see increased demand for business, domestic leisure, and inbound tourism. A hotel with 318 rooms is planned, and an announcement will be made once finalized. The location is about a 4-minute walk from the North Exit of Sapporo Station.
Additionally, the APA Hotel will also be rebuilt, increasing its current 54 rooms to 152 rooms.
