The French public transportation IC card, the ‘Navigo card’, has started support for Apple Wallet.
The ‘Navigo card’ is an IC card used in the Île-de-France region, centered around Paris, for charging various types of tickets. Apple Wallet is known for its ability to make secure and quick payments using an iPhone or Apple Watch, with the Express Mode enabling users to touch transit gates without unlocking the device. Registering the Navigo card to Apple Wallet allows the purchase of single journey tickets, airport bus tickets, and day passes through the official app or Wallet app.
Additionally, real-time transit information for Paris metros, trams, RER, and RATP buses is now available on Apple Maps. This enables users to check detailed timetables, actual arrival and departure times reflecting delays, and transfer information.
