Cathay Pacific to Relocate to New Terminal 6 at New York JFK with New Lounge
Cathay Pacific will be relocating its operations at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The airline will move to Terminal 6, where it will start operating 5 gates in early 2026, following an agreement with JFK Millennium Partners, who are responsible for the terminal’s construction and operations.
Additionally, a new lounge spanning approximately 10,000 square feet will be established. It will be Cathay Pacific’s second lounge in the United States, following one at San Francisco International Airport.
Cathay Pacific commenced flights to New York via Vancouver in 1996. Currently, it operates three round trips daily from Terminal 8 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary of operations on July 1.
The under-construction Terminal 6 will feature 10 gates, 9 of which will accommodate wide-body aircraft. In addition to an arrivals lounge, there will be space for up to 5 airline lounges.
