Izu Hakone Railway to Introduce Touch Payment Service on the Sunzu Line Within the Fiscal Year
Izu Hakone Railway will start a service allowing passengers to use touch payment with compatible credit cards on the Sunzu Line within this fiscal year.
This will be implemented in collaboration with Sumitomo Mitsui Card, JCB, Nippon Signal, and QUADRAC.
The service will be available at all stations on the Sunzu Line. Passengers can board and alight by touching their cards or smartphones to the dedicated readers newly installed at the gates. The supported brands include Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay. Mastercard will be added sequentially.
