Japan Travel has launched a new carbon offset program for individual overseas travel products, “Best Tour – Let’s Make Our Journey Environmentally Friendly! Carbon-Zero Seoul & Busan”.
This initiative, co-planned with the Korean Tourism Organization’s Fukuoka Office, utilizes carbon credits accredited by Japan’s J-Credit System and Korea’s Forest Carbon Offset Program to offset carbon emissions generated by travel in these tours. This marks the first time a carbon offset product for international travel has been offered.
Tours departing from Fukuoka, Oita, and Hakata Port are available, with carbon offsetting efforts supporting forest conservation initiatives led by Fukuoka City’s Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Department in Japan and SK Forestry in Korea.
